Upgraded 2-in-1 Drop In Vent with Insert

The upgraded vent comes with a matching insert that pops in and out easily. If you don't have any spare flooring — or just want to change up your design between seasons — you can do it in seconds with the all-metal, matte black matching insert. Everything else (heavy-gauge metal build, tool-free fit, and high airflow) is the same as our standard Drop-In vent.

It ships ready to install with the included insert, but if you'd rather use your own flooring, it supports all types — laminate, LVP, vinyl, hardwood, engineered hardwood, tile, ceramic, porcelain, cork, bamboo, and carpet — up to about 20 mm (¾ inch) thick.

Just build up the base under your insert piece — thin plywood, underlayment, or spacers — until the flooring you drop in sits level with the surrounding floor. This lets you match almost any floor height for a seamless look.

Measure the duct opening in the floor — not your old vent's faceplate. The size refers to the hole it fits (a 4x10 fits a 4 in × 10 in opening). We offer 3x10, 4x10, and 4x12. Not sure? Send us your measurements and we'll confirm.

No tools, screws, or drilling. Our compression-fit frame fits securely into the duct opening and sits level with your floor. Press to seat it, lift it out for cleaning. There's a short install video on the product page.
